Parent(s)/Guardian(s) Rights
Right to visit
Parents and guardians have the right to visit the center at anytime their child is present. School is a very important aspect of your child’s life, he/she will want to share it with you. We encourage visits and volunteering.
Parent Input
Our staff welcomes parental input. Feel free to talk with us if you have any suggestions, concerns or problems; Or make an appointment to see the director.
Conferences
You have the right to request a conference with your child’s teacher at any time. Conferences will be scheduled twice a year coinciding with assessments.
Assessments
At least every six months, parents/guardians will receive a written progress report, at which time your child’s teacher will schedule a parent/teacher conference to discuss the assessment. This report will then become part of your child’s records. If your child has special needs you will receive a written report every three months. You have the right to add information, comment on assessments or any other relevant materials to your child’s record.
Access to child’s record
Parents and guardians have the right to have access to your child’s record’s within 2 business days of request. Information contained in your child’s record is privileged and confidential. The school’s staff may not distribute or release information in your child’s records to anyone not directly related to implementing the program plan for your child without your written consent.
Transfer of child’s record
Upon your written request, when your child is no longer in our program, the licensee can give you your child's record or transfer those records to any person that you identify.
